Wildflowers

Have you seen any great wildflower displays?
We saw some amazing poppies, and, um, Purple Flowers, and Yellow Flowers.

The pics on the page were taken close to downtown–the first pullout on your right as you go up A Mountain, a three minute walk down the trail.

Local eatin’, part two

We went to the St. Phillip’s Plaza farmers’ market last week (for the first time!) and were impressed by the variety and quality of the goods, especially the produce–and it’s December! More lights, please

The seasonal lights abound. This weekend is the start of the Tucson Zoo’s annual “Zoo Lights”.  Lots of pretty sparkly things, hot chocolate, and Santa (so, yeah, it’s more “Christmas” than “Holiday”–but Santa-Christmas, rather than Baby-Jesus-Christmas).
