On the way home from school today we were discussing the cost of gasoline and where it comes from and fossil fuels (their choice, not mine)…I was explaining renewable vs nonrenewable resources. Linc asked why oil was non renewable. So I said stuff like “dinosaurs, petrochemicals, rocks, old old things” and he said “Well people and animals still die–can’t they turn into that kind of fuel? I had no good answer; no answer at all. I assume it has something to do with geology and pressure and whatnot, but, um, help?
Please explain fossil fuels. Thank you!
