Rainy Day Children #1 and #2…plus weekend roundup

December 14th, 2012 · 1 Comment

This weekend of course is chock full o’ holiday goodness. But, um, it’s REALLY COLD AND RAINY.

Tomorrow is the annual Parade of Lights, which for the first time won’t take place in Armory Park. Here’s the lowdown. The mayor’s tree lighting will take place in Jacome Plaza beforehand, and there will be lots of activities for kids and families. The Museum of Art will be open, and I hear tell of hot chocolate and other treats.

It’s also the Great Cover Up, for those of you who still go out at night. That used to be my favorite event, pre kids. Now I don’t know any of the local acts so it’s less fun. Woe is me.

What else is going on this weekend? And will you go to the Parade of Lights even in the rain? It’s raining on our parade! Maybe, anyway. That’s never happened. But we need the water, so I’ll stop whining.

Lights in the rain could be fun if you are warm enough and manage to stay dry.
