TucsonParents: Help with a cool research project!!

February 18th, 2010 · No Comments

Hey mamas and daddies–here’s a chance to assist in a research project at UA:

The experiences of early childhood — both positive and negative — have a lasting impact and lay the foundation for a child’s future success. Recognizing the significance early childhood plays in the development of lifelong learners — and how investment in the earliest years paves the way for success — Arizona’s three state universities have joined together to create a premier, early childhood research program, headquartered at the University of Arizona.

From the FTFEE coordinator:
First things First will be conducting practice times for Data Collectors to come to the FTFEE office during the week of March 1st-5th. If you and your child would be available to stop in we would greatly appreciate it. Your child(ren) will be assisting Data Collectors with the Height & Weight assessment measure. So, we would ask your children to step on a scale to be weighed and then,
measure them for their height.

We need:

1. Infants (born Nov 09 or later)
2. 3-5 year-olds

When:

March 1st-5th
a)10:00-12:00,
b)4:00-6:00,
c)6:00-8:00

We foresee finding infants difficult. Please tell any friends or family you may know. We invite the children to come multiple times. We will provide the children a small gift for their participation.

Thanks so much,
