This year how about a new tradition? Don’t just watch the Nutcracker, dance along! This is a family friendly event that is sure to bring a smile to all our faces – Dance Along Nutcracker.
Dig out your inner Sugar Plumb Fairy or Snow Queen. Anything goes! Dress up in a tutu, an apron, or your favorite Nutcracker character and wave that wand to Tucson’s Dance Along Nutcracker. Inspired by the Dance-along Nutcracker that has been getting lively at this time of year over in San Francisco since 1985, Tucson’s version will be Friday, December 11th 6:00pm – 9:00pm at The Rhythm Industry Performance Factory, 1013 S. Tyndall Ave.
Bring a friend and a food donation for the Tucson Community Food Bank. Donations for Opening Minds to the Arts will also be gladly accepted. Oh, and if you want a little inspiration of your own check out this Youtube video of the 2008 San Francisco version.

PS. Don’t have a tutu lying around? Make your way down to SAS fabrics for tulle and make one. If I can so can you!

OMG. Is this post just for ME? This sounds like my little monkey princess’ idea of a dream come true. I’m marking it on my calendar now.
