PARENTS! Here’s your chance to:

• Participate in a FREE two-day science workshop at Reid Park Zoo

• Receive a stipend for your time

• Learn fun “everyday” science activities you can do with your family

• Get involved in your child’s science education

Parents will attend interactive, hands-on workshops at the Zoo on two consecutive weekend days in September. These workshops will include training and preparation for parents to facilitate activities at a fair held at the Zoo in early October. Parents must attend both days of the workshop, and the fair, to be eligible for their stipend.

A $25.00 deposit (check or credit card) will be required to confirm your space in this program, but this will be fully refunded upon completion of the workshop series.

Both workshops and the fair will take place at Reid Park Zoo

Workshop dates:

• Saturday, Sept. 12th 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (lunch provided)
• Sunday, Sept. 13th 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (lunch provided)

Fair date:

• Saturday, Oct. 3rd 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (lunch provided)

For more information, or to register for this workshop, please call Jennifer Stoddard at

Oooo, this sounds like fun. I don’t suppose you can bring your child with you (do they have child care available?) or is this a one parent attending thing?
