1) What the hell happened to Pollywog’s? I went last week with a bunch of stuff to trade, and there is nothing in the store. Vanished, as if it were never there to begin with.
2) Haagen Dazs brown sugar ice cream. Holy shit.
3) Some really nice furniture at St Vincent’s on 6th Ave right now.
4) Raspberries for $1/pint at Safeway, also 30 packs of Tecate for $18. Whoa.

Pollywogs gone?!?! No, say it isn’t so. Perhaps you got the wrong strip mall. I mean they all look the same.
Tell us more about the brown sugar ice cream. I can’t quite imagine it?

It closed a few weeks ago. I heard from other moms online (but don’t know this first hand) that they were taking in merchandise and giving store credit slips the day before they closed and some of the stuff turned up on Craig’s List. I don’t know if that’s true or false, so my apologies if I’m spreading malicious rumors. If it is true…not nice at all. Apparently they cleared out the entire store the morning they closed, so they had to know it was coming.
I also heard that if you have a store credit slip, some Twice as Nice locations will honor up to $20 of it. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of that either, as I don’t have any credit slips so I have no need to look into it, but if anyone does, it’s worth a shot.
Rachel, you’re in the Gelato capital of the world. Leave the Haagen Dazs to the rest of us, at least until you get back, ‘kay?

Okay, Rachel: 5 ingredients only: cream, milk, sugar, eggs, brown sugar. Icy creamy molassessy goodness. I eat it with broken up cookies (HobNobs!!) and whipped cream.
Yum yum yum yum yum. I have a thing for molasses so it’s kind of a dream dessert. I wish they made ice cream with very little sugar though, but not fake sugar. I also have that dream about Coke. I don’t like things too sweet.

Wow, that sounds good! I came really close to buying HD honey ice cream just yesterday! $1 raspberries! I love berries on sale!

Have you gone to Lil’ Traders on Speedway/Wilmot (it used to be Buffalo Kids)? They’re pretty great too. They’re picky about what they take in but in return they only sell nice stuff. I love shopping there!

Confession: I shop at Lil’ Traders, but I don’t tell anyone about it unless they have a girl. *shifty glance* It’s too good, the clothes are great, in perfect condition AND cheap, so I don’t want the competition taking clothes that I could get! Shame on me, I know.
