The Mexican government is paying for the funerals, and the daycare was government-run as well. Shriners Hospital for Children Northern California is a possibility, as (so far) four of the burned children have been taken there, two 3-year-olds and two 2-year-olds. I can't find the names of any of the other hospitals, but the AZ Daily Star reported yesterday that "nine were transferred to Mexican hospitals in Ciudad Obregon in Sonora and the western Mexican city of Guadalajara, which has a special burn unit," so they are at multiple locations. Anyone else have any thoughts/suggestions? I couldn't imagine this happening to my own child and to the children I care for everyday. These tragedies are the reason for simple precautions such as fire cribs and enough staff to carry children out in any kind of emergency. It's unfortunate that these people probably simply didn't have the funds for such things. I would also like to know if anyone knows where donations can be made.
