This sounds like a perfect kid-friendly evening. Since it starts at 5pm and is a benefit for Tucson schools, I assume the little ones are welcome.

Night of New Orleans will help raise money for Opening Minds Through the Arts, an educational program that incorporates music, opera, dance, theater and visual art into reading, writing, math and science lessons for TUSD elementary and middle school students.

I’ve been loving this summer so far. Yeah, we’ve had cooler-than-typical days, but it’s all the usual players that make my heart sing–the white-winged doves, the clouds in the southeast, the crazy sunsets, the leafy mesquites. No mosquitoes yet at our house–that’s when I get a little cranky (they bite the hell out of me and the kids and I scratch myself up good).
