Saturday April 25th

Corner of Pennington and Stone

City High School’s Foundation of CityWorks class links our students to the community through class work and real-world projects.

For our final project this year, the CityWorks Foundations class is organizing a Pennington Street Block Party.

There will be a chance to dunk teachers in a dunk tank, interactive recycled art project, mural painting, bands from all of Tucson, including 3 from City High School, DJs, an acrobatic yoga demonstration, capoeira, giant chess and checkers, drawing, jumping castles a skate ramp and more! Bring your appetites; there will be food vendors and a demonstration from the City High Culinary Arts class

We are partnering with Tucson Parks and Recreation Art in Reality (A.I.R.) program and Voices Inc, and were awarded a grant by Tucson Pima Arts Council (TPAC) to help with the costs of a stage, a sound system, security, bathrooms, and barricades.

This is going to be an awesome downtown event.
