Club Congress Moon Bash — Fundraiser to restore the Valley of the Moon!!! - Friday, September 5th
Join us at Club Congress on 4th Avenue on Friday, September 5th for an all ages fund raiser to raise money to help restore Valley of the Moon. Bring the whole family for a special one day only concert on September 5th. The Historic Hotel Congress (aka Club Congress) will be hosting an all-ages family concert of several fantastic local bands, plus raffle prizes, and food at the Cup Cafe on the 5th from 6PM till 10PM. Suggested donation of $5 per person, kids 12 and under are free. All proceeds will benefit Valley of the Moon historic fantasy park and the upgrade of the electrical system covering the 2.2 acre historic district. Valley of the Moon is Tucson’s original fairy land built in 1923 and is dedicated to spreading a message of Kindness to All.

Valley of the Moon is a unique area built by George Phar Legler in the 1920s for the purpose of appealing to the magical imagination of children and of bringing mental and spiritual relaxation for visitors to the site. Mineralized rock cliffs, caves, pools, and garden miniatures have blended with tropic and desert flora to create what Mr. Legler called the “Fantasy Touch of Three” (Lewis Carroll, Edgar Allen Poe, and Robert Louis Stevenson).
