You and me been finding each other for so long

Because I love you, I am sharing the joy that is this video of Andy Gibb performing live. I’ve only seen lip-synced versions of this song, and hearing this feels almost like he’s not dead. (TucsonMama secret–I love Andy Gibb without irony. Same with the BeeGees and ELO. You can stop reading now if you like, but it’s the truth and I ain’t ashamed, dammit.) (This is also pretty amazing, and also, he is wearing NO SHIRT under his satin jacket.)

Oh my. What sweet memories I have of Andy. This reminds me that I really have such a great mom. She brought me to his concert at the Wang Center when I was 12. Then at my party, we played “Pin the Kiss on Andy” (a poster). That was as good as it got.

Just three days before your post, I found myself clandestinely dancing in the elevator of the UA music building to “You Should Be Dancing”. My bassoon professor was pretty amused but the yung’uns (undergrads) I had lunch with gave me a blank stare when I confessed to the boogie-tude of that song. Them BeeGees is in the air. :)

Can I just say that Andy Gibb was the first concert that I ever got to shake my bootie at? I was 6 and my (single) mom shelled out the bucks for me and my 2 older sisters to have pavillion seats at Pine Knob.
    Shadow Dancing!
