Stop by her gorgeous yard and check out her luminous and sweet reverse glass paintings Saturday and Sunday from 12-5. Her backyard garden is at 522 S. Fifth [...]

Dia de los Lobos

March 28th, 2008 · 1 Comment

(No, Los Lobos aren’t coming to town. I wish. “Saint Behind the Glass” is the best song evah.)

This Saturday, March 29th, from 3-7pm, come to La Placita Village (110 S. Church Ave.) and celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the reintroduction of the grey wolf to its former habitat in the southwest. We’re not sure [...]

What a mess

March 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Depressing and troubling. More talk about closing local school (because bigger classrooms in faraway schools are just what our kids need). It’s horrifying and a bit embarrassing to read about the flawed audit and the estimates of savings from the closures–the mistakes and confusion about these matters is upsetting.
Sharing the front page with the article [...]

Wildflowers

March 11th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Have you seen any great wildflower displays?
We saw some amazing poppies, and, um, Purple Flowers, and Yellow Flowers.

The pics on the page were taken close to downtown–the first pullout on your right as you go up A Mountain, a three minute walk down the trail.
Glorious!

Let me tell you how much I love our vet. But first I will assure you that anything we rave about on TucsonMama is solely because we are excited–at this point, we’re not selling ads (and if that time comes, you will know it, because, well, there will be ads on the page), and we [...]
